One day, my daughter started to show interest in the characters she sees in books. She started to memorize their names and I was utterly surprised!

First of all, I want to be mindful about the toys I buy and not accumulate too much.

It’s so easy to overspend nowadays due to the ease of buying online.

Keeping that in mind, here are 7 toys for toddlers that I believe are worth spending:

Toys That Keep ‘Em Active:

During the “confinement” period, it was really hard to keep a toddler busy. This is especially the case when she just learned to walk!

Toddlers just want to exert all of their energy and that’s not so easy when they’re stuck at home all the time.

These fun toys can help keep them active and stay busy.

3. Rocking Horse

Description: “This children’s toy rocking horse has been designed in a bright blue color with smoothed corners and edges. Children will learn balance and coordination. This classic Rocking Horse is ideal for toddlers to make imaginary gallops around the house.”

Books and Toys for Memory:

Age 1-2 is when toddlers can memorize so many things! Their brain is developing at a rapid speed so this is a great opportunity to enhance their memory.

In addition, toddlers are starting to speak at this age and so having toys that can build memory muscles could also help with speech development. As they memorize, they’ll also talk out loud!

Here are some of my favorite books and toys that I use to interact with my toddler while we play together. Note: I don’t recommend letting toddlers to play with these alone since they have a tendency of putting things in their mouth.

5. Little Miss Book Series

Description: “This delightful set features the complete collection of 36 timeless Little Miss stories. As well as the much loved classic titles, Little Miss Naughty, Little Miss Sunshine and Little Miss Chatterbox, you can also enjoy the newest addition to the collection, Little Miss Inventor.”
